Started as a Management Trainee of Jardine Matheson back in 1994, Roy has accumulated over 20 years of professional and academic experience in corporate communications, public affairs, CSR, event management, crisis communication and stakeholder management through different roles based in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing.

Academically, Roy obtained a B.Comm. (1994) degree from the University of British Columbia, and a Msc in Corporate Governance & Directorship (2011) from the Hong Kong Baptist University.? Since then, Roy has been invited to teach in various higher education institutions on subjects related to event management, crisis communications and integrated marketing communications.

In terms of signature event management project, Roy led a team of PR professionals in managing the portfolio of pre-opening activities for the High Speed Rail under the capacity of MTR’s Senior Manager-Corporate Communications.

In terms of public affairs, as the North Asia Head of Communications and External Affairs for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Roy solidified RICS’ status as one of the HKSAR government’s key stakeholders for public policy consultation.

In terms of training, Roy has been a corporate trainer in delivering crisis management and media response workshops in China as well as event management workshops for the HKSAR Government’s Civil Service Bureau.

Roy is also a contributing author to the Mix Meetings Magazine, a professional publication for the MICE industry in Asia.
